Fictional demo project: a concept study, not a commission and not built. The photos are Unsplash reference images, not work by Studio Alibi. Bentwood sketches a small family of chairs for hospitality interiors and for film sets that need furniture with a believable past. Three variants share one seat height and one leg geometry: a compact stacking chair with a round seat, an armchair whose continuous bent rail wraps the back, and a folding chair with a woven cane seat and back. The study compares how each reads on camera and in daily use, and where a solid timber part can replace veneer without losing the curve. The reference photos were chosen for proportion, joint detail and the warmth of oiled beech, ash and cane.
